The crew we send to your driveway in Miami isn’t a rotating cast of subcontractors. They’re full-time technicians and installers who live and work in this city, know what salt air does to torsion springs in Coconut Grove, and understand why a garage door that won’t close in Kendall feels like an emergency at 9 p.m. Each one carries the same qualifications, the same uniform, and the same obligation to hand you a written price before touching a single bolt. What unites them is simpler than a mission statement: they think “done right” means the door works quietly, the site is cleaner than when they arrived, and you understand exactly what you paid for.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Marcus Ellery, Owner
Marcus has been under the Kingswell standard since 2001, and he’s the reason the Miami location runs the way it does. He came up as a service tech before he ever owned a truck, so he still talks like one: torsion spring first, then the plain-language version. His specialty is solving the doors other companies have already looked at twice, particularly older Amarr and Wayne Dalton setups that have been through a few coastal seasons. You won’t see him pushing a replacement when a rebuild makes more sense. Marcus lives in South Miami, and the worst door he ever worked on was one he inherited from a previous contractor who used extension springs where the spec called for torsion, so he takes the Kingswell guarantee personally.
Rafael D., Lead Technician
Rafael runs most of the repair calls from Brickell up through Little Havana. He’s been turning wrenches on overhead doors for eleven years, with factory training on LiftMaster and Chamberlain opener systems. If your opener hums but the door doesn’t move, Rafael is the one who will tell you it’s probably the capacitor or the logic board before he even opens the panel, then confirm it with a meter. He keeps a clean truck but will tell you that’s less about image and more about knowing where a 7/16 socket is when a spring lets go. Rafael is the tech who gets the “we had another company here last week” calls, and he’s quietly proud of how often the second opinion ends the problem for good.
Dana R., Senior Installer
Dana handles new door installations and full track replacements across Doral, Westchester, and Fontainebleau. She’s the one measuring reveal and side clearance while another installer is still unloading the truck, which matters when a Clopay or custom door has to ride true through a Miami garage that was framed decades ago. Her specialty is retrofitting new panels onto older track systems that are still solid, a choice that saves homeowners real money when it’s safe. Dana has a background in finish carpentry, and it shows in the trim work around new doors. She’s also the person most likely to point out that your opener’s safety sensors are filthy before she pulls a ladder, because a surprising number of “broken” doors just need a clean eye.
Luis M., Service Coordinator
Luis is the voice you’ll hear when you call (850) 673-0645 after hours, on a Sunday, or on a holiday when your door is hanging crooked half-open. He’s been routing garage door calls in Miami for eight years and can usually tell from your description whether the truck should roll right now or tomorrow morning at eight. Luis doesn’t give prices over the phone without seeing the door, and he won’t pretend to, but he will tell you exactly what the technician is going to check first and what the arrival window looks like. He lives in Hialeah and knows the difference between a real emergency and a door that’s just noisy. If he tells you a tech is on the way, that tech is on the way.
Anthony C., Apprentice Technician
Anthony is in his second year on a Bramwell truck, paired with Rafael on most jobs while he works through the full Kingswell training path. He’s already certified on Genie and Craftsman opener service, and he’s learning spring work the old way: wind, count, test, repeat, with a senior tech watching every cycle. Anthony grew up in West Kendall and came to garage doors from a residential maintenance background, so he’s comfortable walking a homeowner through what he found without making it sound worse than it is. He’s the one who double-checks that the door is balanced after a spring replacement, because he’s still at the stage where the checklist matters more than muscle memory, and that’s exactly what we want.
One Standard, Every Job
The Kingswell Way isn’t a slogan we hang on the office wall. It’s five habits every person on this page agreed to before they ever rode in a Bramwell truck: say the price before the work, show up in the window we gave you, leave the place cleaner than we found it, put the guarantee in writing, and come back if it fails. Every Bramwell location is independently owned and operated, but each one holds the same standard, and our Miami crew knows the brand’s 365-Day Done Right Promise is only as good as the last job they finished. When Marcus opened this location, he told the team the rule was simple: if you wouldn’t put it in writing for your own mother’s house, don’t put it on the truck. That’s the standard. Nothing about it is complicated.
